Christmas Craft Project #1

I love to visit Raised in Cotton's blog. Talk about vintage beauty and a lot of German glass glitter.... It is amazing!!! I saw this cute picture on their blog, and noticed the cute circle sign on the left side of the pic. Can you see it?? So cute..... I thought I would attempt to make MY version of it. It is not perfect, but I had a lot of fun... Also, I love the angel wings. Wow!!!

I used two pieces of scrapbook paper. I got this cute music note paper at Hobby Lobby. You just fold, then cut in half with zig zag scissors.

Glue all sections together then glue closed.

My sister bought this cute sign at Something Simple. It is "Seasons of Cannon Falls"....super cute... I love the shape of it, so I traced it and decided that this would be the shape inside my folded paper.

Next, I cut the crown shape out of a cereal box to give it more thickness.

Then I traced the edges with glue and used two kinds of glitter to embellish my sign. I put the Sulyn chunky glitter on first, let it dry completely, then I put my German glass glitter on top of it. German glass glitter is amazing! Because it is little pricey, I use it only on special projects.

This is the finished product.

BD Fun, Thanksgiving Fun, and Mantle Decorating

This is what I did with sis, Aunt Becky, and my mom for my Birthday. A girl's night out.... Australia was excellent!!! A must see....

We went to Aunt Becky's, my BFF, for Thanksgiving. We had a great time!!! We had two kinds of turkey, ham, and all the fixins. It was absolutely delicious!! She is a wonderful cook.

She has been very busy this fall getting some updates done in her home. Here are her new hardwood floors and furniture. Very Country French... I love it!!!

Me and "The Boys".... I was very thankful that they were feeling better.

Nanny arrives.... She is always a hit with all the kids.

Me and my cousin.

Hubby and our little guy playing cards.

Here is the updated mantle. I added a little greenery, lights, icy branches, and white glass ornaments. Now I just need to hang the stockings with care.........

I really like the way it turned out. It does remind me of a "Winter Wonderland" theme. Tomorrow I have a fun craft project to post. It was inspired from "Raised in Cotton". If you haven't checked out their blog...you have to. Absolutely Beautiful.....

...us. We are still 30 something, but barely. Our parents said that this picture day was a nightmare. I think the pic speaks for itself. How funny......

OK.... The Gold is Getting the Boot...

...just after the holidays. I am too stinkin busy to give my buffet the love it deserves right now. On another note, I have two sickly boys. The first vision of my two year-old this morning was projectile vomit shooting out of his mouth. Don't you just hate it when your kids are sick. We have been really lucky though. This is really their first illnesses this fall. It is the "Count Your Blessings" time of year, and I know I have many. On a lighter note...I just had to share my "Happy Birthday to Me" present. ( Me and my twin's BD is tomorrow.) I found this cute chair at a junk store for a whopping $9.00. It needs love too, but what a deal!!!

I think it will be cute next to my buffet. I just wish I had two of them....one of each side. I am all about things in pairs. DARN.

This is a bad picture, but I also found these two iron sconces. I thought I could paint/glaze them and hang them somewhere. I think they have a lot of potential.

One last thing, sis and I are so excited!!! Our crystal pendant necklaces will be hanging in another store as of this Sunday. A local store will be carrying them!! We hope they go over well. (Fingers are Crossed)

Garage Sale Find Update.....

Remember this garage sale dresser/buffet? I spent 50 bucks on this baby, and I really like it. I have been busy trying to get it ready before the holiday season hits. I can't wait to decorate it for Christmas.

Here is the after pic. I highlighted it with blue and I glazed it as well. I am debating painting the gold blue also. My sis says yes..get rid of the gold. I just don't know. What do you think? I would love some advice.

I decided to accent one of my lamps with a large crystal. I'm going to make another crystal for the second lamp....just haven't decided on the message yet.

Here is the front view. It is really coming together.

I love my new Charles Faudree coffee table book. This book also features a local florist, As you probably know, Charles Faudree is from Tulsa. I love going into his store and just taking it all in. I absolutely love his style....now affording it is another story.

Craft Show Fun...

Well, sis and I had a great time together at our craft show yesterday. We worked hard all last week getting ready for it, and we made sales and new friends to show for it. You can't beat that!!! We did a lot of the same stuff as our last show. We sold our large vintage print metal signs. We love to get these in and glitter the heck out of them. It really makes them come to life.

..and our cute wooden Santas...

Well, as we guessed, our crystal pendant necklaces got the most attention. The zebra and leopard "Mom's Rock" were the big hits. We sold out of both of these. Also, everyone liked the larger pendants just as well as the small ones. I guess it is always good to have a little variety. We actually got a custom order of 8 large pendants that our sweet customer is going to turn into key chains for Christmas presents. Now, what a great idea is that!!

Everyone liked these framed glittered vintage images. We embellished these silver frames with little beads. This made them look a little more original.

Our new glass magnets

My glittered frames.....

These fun buttons, mirrors, and bottle openers came from a nearby booth. They had super cute things.

We had tons of fun, but boy were we ever tired after it was over. Until our next show on Dec. 6th, we are free to enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving with our families. Then, it's time to gear up for fun holiday decorating.

I wish....

I wish I could have each of you over, and we would sit here for a nice lunch without any worries of time or even calories. We would visit about our life stories, laugh and maybe even cry. I wish I could get the opportunity to get to know each of you. I am so thankful for my new blogging friends.

After dinner we would all meet here for coffee and the absolute sweetest dessert. It would be a perfect day..I'm sure.

Well...now back to reality. I'm off to set up for our craft fair tomorrow. Wish us luck. I will take many pics to share with you. Here is a sneak peak..

We have gone crystal pendant crazy!!! We still have to put all these on necklaces. It's going to be a late night for sis and me, but I'm sure we will squeeze in a lot of fun.

Something Beautiful to Share.....

My sister introduced me to this beautiful ETSY store. The designer of these crocheted scarves and neckwarmers is MarianneS. This is actually her in the pictures. My brother-in-law ordered this scarf for my twin sis for (our) birthday that is coming up on the 26th. Who am I kidding.... She asked/requested that he order it for her. LOL!!

I have my eye on this precious neck warmer... Darling..

And even jewelry.... Amazing!!!

My Favorite Find and A Little Holiday Decor....

This was my favorite find yesterday at Windsor Market, an iron flower candelabra. My twin sis found these, there were two, and we both snatched one up. I know...very twin like of us. They are so pretty. I just had to light mine tonight.

I have been noticing that several of you out in blog land are busy decorating for Christmas, so I thought I would also get a few things out. I also came home with this little wreath yesterday. I absolutely love it! This is a peek at my holiday mantle. I plan to add lights and garland, but I think I'm going for simple this year.

I also found these glittered trees. Three for $15.00. Not bad.....

I love this glittered NOEL. I found it at the dollar store for a buck. You can't beat that. Well, it's a start. I have a long way to go, but I'm sure I will have tons of fun along the way.
