Newspaper Creations......
I have missed blogging this week. Life is way too hectic, and after we return from Dallas, I plan to catch up on many things. The first thing on my list is major spring cleaning. My home is looking rather worn, and it needs a lot of love. My little boys are going to get a heavy dose of Mommy kisses, and my hubby will get a little more of his wife back. Bless his heart... He is a very busy veterinarian, who finds himself painting, cutting wood, drilling, and even doing a little glittering in his spare time. He is a gem....let me tell you. He has Thursdays off, so he is driving us (me and sis) to Dallas when he gets off work next Wednesday evening, and he is going to "help" us move in to the showroom Thursday morning. Bless Nanny's heart, she is going to keep our boys. I tell you what...it takes a village.
Well, as you know, sis and I love creating with newspaper. You will see a little of this in our showroom line.
Finally, my little spring German glass glitter project. She was a lot of fun to make.
Happy Friday to All!!!

Glitter & Bliss
Good morning!!! I have had a few sweet comments asking about our showroom and when Glitter and Bliss will be there. The name of the showroom is Madeline Wells, and it is located on the second floor of the World Trade Mart in Dallas. We are moving in next Thursday, March 5th. Thanks so much for asking...
Well, I promised an update on my newspaper project. So, here it is....
Before....
Here is the end result. I worked for four solid hours trying to get the newspaper covered just right, but I like how she turned out. Remember, she will have many crystal necklaces around her neck. I think this will be a fun prop.
When we met with our showroom manager back in January, she really liked our frames. She asked for several of these, so sis and I have designed 3 girl frames and three boy. (two "Baby Love", two "My 1st Birthday", one "Girly Girl", and one "I Love You to the Mood and Back") Here is the "Girly Girl" frame, large paper clip, and banner.
This pic doesn't do the banner justice. It has a touch of glitter in spots and crystals in between the letters.
More to come... I hope everyone has a wonderful Tuesday.

Time is Fast Approaching....
Sis and I have been spending days, and way into several nights, trying to get ready to set up in our Dallas showroom. We have spent hours designing..changing..literally trashing...revamping...and now we finally feel like we are ready. We really had to pray our way through the last few weeks. We have shared ideas, lots of coffee, hugs, and....sorry to report....a few cross words, on our path to decide what our line should look like. In the end, it was an easy decision...we had to listen to our hearts. It all started with the one thing called glitter...and then came the crystal pendants. Stick with what you know and love.....right? That is our motto.
Inspired by so many of you, and our new found love for birds and cute nests....
Our German Glass Glitter Bird (wired tag)...
Our German Glass Glitter Crown (wired tag)....
Now, for props... I picked up two of these crowns at Target for a buck each. They were actually lime green, so paint was my first step. I plan to glue the two crowns together and cover them with German glass glitter. This will give them a wonderful vintage look. ( I hope ) I have this one done, and I really like it. I know it will look great with two together so it will be a complete circle. I will post the final product soon.
Consider this a before shot.... This little lady will take center stage in our space in the Dallas showroom. She is going to be covered with crystal pendant necklaces of both our 2 and 2 1/2 inch sizes. But first, Sis and I are going to cover her in newspaper to give here a more vintage look. I know it sounds weird, but we're hoping for a unique look. I will post the end result early next week.
More little props... We have been covering these little eggs with newspaper. These will be fun to sit around in our space. All in the spirit of spring.... :)
Just a little sneak peek.... There will be more to come. I hope everyone is having a blessed weekend.

Fun Finds....
I found some really cute... and cheap... things recently at TJ Maxx. Sis and I are going to work in our showroom for upcoming markets, so we both bought this fun apron to wear as we represent our line. I know.....very twin like of us. I found this cute wire hanger at TJ Maxx for 5.99. I thought it was super cute.
I also found this wire piece at TJ Maxx and thought it would be so cute to use it for displaying swatches of paper, business cards, glittered items....anything inspiring. The cost was 4.99!!! Yea!!!!! I love the bow at the bottom.
They had two, so I thought a pair would be fun. I love them on each side of my "memory fence".
I hope everyone is having a wonderful Thursday.

The Beauty of Beams
I adore beams and the beauty they can bring to any space. When we built our home 2 years ago, I requested a very flat ceiling in the living room in the hopes of one day adding several beams. I hope for pine wood, with a hint of watered down white paint, and a touch of glaze . Needless to say, I am still in waiting. However, the vision is still there and my dream lives on. :)
Wooden accents are so beautiful in outdoor spaces, in the form of this beautiful pergola..jpg)
Bedroom Spaces...

Kitchen spaces..
Cozy sitting areas...
In living room spaces...
All pics were found on the pages of Traditional Home and Beautiful Southern Home. I hope everyone is having a wonderful week.

A Peek at My Niece's Nursery....
Well, here she is. She is such a little doll. We have officially set up "shop" at my sister's house lately to work on our Glitter & Bliss endeavors. We have taken over her upstairs game room. If you can imagine us attempting to work, while the boys play the WII. It is somewhat comical at times. We do, however, feel so blessed to be home with our little ones. They are our first priority. With this arrangement comes a lot of Lily time. I have loved it!!! My little guys have as well. She is so sweet and loving. I just adore her. As you know, my sis and brother-in-law adopted her a little over a year ago. What a blessing she is.
Her "Glitter & Bliss" plate and letter...
A cute "Dream" banner to match....
My dad painted this oil painting for my nephew's nursery 7 seven years ago. He used my nephew's toile fabric, and painted a scene from it. This painting looks like it was meant for Lily as well as Noah. I'm sure my dad is smiling in heaven about that.
Sis had these linen curtains monogrammed. Cuuuutttteeee...
Well, we are in the "paperwork" phase of moving into our Dallas showroom. We are in the process of forming an LLC for our little business, getting "Credit Card" ready, deciding on opening order limits, follow up order limits, shipping supplies, shipping rates, oh and.....finalizing our products. Needless to say, I'm still not sleeping well these days. I have been doing a lot of praying. We have so many hurdles to cross before we are in full swing, but again, we feel so blessed for the opportunity. I hope everyone is having a wonderful week.
